1940 Ford Coupe
1940 Ford Coupe. Photographs made at the Magnone Trattoria & Market in Riverside, California with a Nikon N90s, 50mm prime lens, and Kentmere 100 film.
I talked to the owner of this Ford for a few minutes before he had to leave the car show, in order to make it to an appointment on time. He described the black paint as being “like an Earl Sheib” paint job. Sheib is a chain of body and collision business that operates in 23 of the 50 States in the USA.
Sheib is infamous for, well, let’s call them “inexpensive” paint jobs. I looked at the paint, but it didn’t seem that bad to me. He pointed out the faint green tint in the black paint and I could see it easily enough, but it looked good to me.
