At an elevation of 3,000 feet, their house typically has cooler weather than ours throughout the year. She took the photograph using her iPhone 4.
Earlier today (Saturday) I viewed a photo made by a former classmate of mine, Karen Leclaire Wren, of her backyard in upstate New York. It was a winter snow scene that made me wish I could teleport across the continent for a day with a camera or two and a pocketful of film. I could have jumped into the car and driven 36 miles to Yucaipa for snow scenes, of course, but without the densely wooded background landscape of the northeast, it wouldn’t have felt quite the same…
