This photograph is a view toward Box Springs Mountain from Mount Rubidoux in Riverside, California. I captured it in September 2009 with a Nikon D200, a camera that I rarely use nowadays. That camera is typically in my son’s possession because it is the best camera we have for making photos of my grandson’s motocross racing exploits.
Though I like heavily saturated color in early morning landscapes, I also like the soft color palette of photos like this. There was no “photoshopping” performed on this image. It is a simple reduced size copy of the .jpeg file that the camera produced.
Meta: f/4.2, 1/5 second, ISO 200.
