Lunch Queue

Because it is winter, Lisa started filling the old bird feeder in the back yard with seed a couple weeks ago. It has become quite a popular lunch spot for sparrows.

This photo reminds me of the way that people typically queue up for tables at restaurants in the more urban areas of Southern California such as Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

I had to mount the longer Tokina manual telephoto lens on the Nikon and poke it through the just-cracked-open patio door to capture the frame without scaring the sparrows off. As always, click on the photo to view the larger version.
