Here’s a quick shot of the Nikon D200 next to the Lumix G1 (taken with a Lumix FX01). As always, click on the photo to see the large version. In addition to dwarfing the G1, the D200 is rather hefty.
After a couple days with the camera, I’m very well accustomed to the controls, and the differences in weight and size make it a definite improvement for hiking in areas like the river bottom shown in the first photo in the G1 Test Frames post. I caught myself changing control settings with the buttons without taking my eye from the viewfinder, so I found the physical controls intuitive, easy to learn.
