Night Light

The temperature of the air was hovering somewhere between 70 and 80 farenheit at sundown. A near-perfect summer night for riding. I looked at the orange light spilling into the sky above the streetlamps. It seemed a good time to take the bike up to Anza Narrows to get a longer view of the city.  I liked the look of the trees in the park, specifically the trunks against the background of city and mountains. Back home looking at the photos, I had the idea that I should have taken a small flashlight to “paint” the tree trunks with light during the long exposure. It might have been a worthwhile experiment. Luckily, there’s always a next time…
